1 Year of Lead Climbing – Byrdie on the Rocks Blog Launch!

December 2024 marks my 1-year lead climbing milestone, and I’m celebrating with a 5-day trip to one of the most beautiful climbing spots in the world—Krabi! Famous for its beachside crags and breathtaking views, it’s the perfect place to launch my personal climbing blog.

This year has been about exploring rocks, crags, and web development—so this blog is a double celebration! Krabi was too amazing for one post, so I’ve broken the trip into 5 stories.

From Rock Holds to Food Goals

Before saying goodbye to Krabi, I couldn’t resist squeezing in one last climb. With a few free hours before my flight, Pie and I made our way back to The North Wall for a final send. I had my sights set on “Keep Yourself Alive,” but the towering 25-meter route will have to wait for my next trip. Instead, we took on "Carrie On" one more time—because what’s a climbing trip without a good rematch? Ready for the final climb and local food finds? Let’s dive in!
